Passing of Carolyn Parese

Carolyn Christian Parese (66) passed away on May 12, 2024, after a 2-year battle with cancer. She was surrounded by her family, including her husband Steve, sons Forrest and Garrett Comartos, and siblings Carla Pack and Bill Christian. She will be forever remembered by her loving grandchildren Calla (9), Jude (8), Cleo (7), Clara (5), Sloan (4), and Lucy (3), her numerous friends, and her many nieces and nephews in NC, NY, OH, and PA.

This Celebration of Carolyn’s Life on 7/27 will be as fun-filled as she was! First, we ask everyone to wear colorful casual clothing and hats, if possible. Second, bring a favorite flower bulb or two or perennial plant for the memorial garden we will plant this fall at our home. Third, please bring a 4”x6” or 8”x10” photograph representing a favorite memory. If you don’t have a photo, write out a description of a specific memory instead. Fourth, bring a chair and (if you can) a very small dish or a dessert to share. Finally, commit to NOT saying: “I’m so sorry for your loss.” Instead, say “You know what I loved about Carolyn?….” Warning: Violators WILL be punished!
