Summer Safety

Parents, community members, and teens aged 14-18 are invited to Summer Safety – Tips for Talking to Teens on Tuesday, April 22nd at 6:00pm at Danbury Community Church, 617 N. Main St., Danbury, NC 27016. Gather for a free pizza dinner at 6:00 and enjoy the program which will start at 6:30. Insight Human Services will provide parents and community members with information about vaping nicotine, underage alcohol use and risks of substance use. Stokes County Health Department will be present with their health educator, SCOPE coordinator, and Peer Support Specialist to educate on opioid emergencies. Vaya Health will share information on behavioral health resources and how to access them. Greensboro College students will talk with the teens ages 14-18 on how to stay safe, both physically and mentally, in this chaotic world they are growing up in. At the end of presentations there will be gift card drawings.

Please note that since this event is focused on teens, no childcare services will be provided at the workshop.
